I entered my Windows credentials but the backup hung with the E01E50023 error. ATI gave mew the old 'Enter your Windows credentials' prompt which I took as a bad sign. All looked good until I tried running it.

I deleted the old (working) backup task and used 'Add existing backup' to create a new task.

That change applied to all the following steps.

I 'changed' the NAS userid's password (entering the same password as before).

I think I've tried all of the suggestions and none of them worked. Should I just try modifying the schedule again using the ATI backup definition procedure? Should I manually edit the script? I am not going to delete the old task going to delete the old task and create a new one. I still want to change the schedule but I don't want to risk clobbering the task like I did yesterday. I pulled the old task script from a backup and have it working again.

(See … if you are interested.) ATI could access the NAS share and its directories during the definition process but not during execution of the task. I tried changing the schedule yesterday (or maybe I deleted the old task and created a new one with a different schedule) and could not get the changed/replaced task to work.

So I am now taking a daily backup of the Users directory - using FTP rather than SMB - so I want to change the full backup's schedule.

Except for a few files in the 'Users' directory we could safely rebuild the laptop from a weekly (or probably a monthly) backup. I am currently taking a daily backup of my wife's laptop to a NAS.
